Bombardier Global Express
Bombardier Global Express
In recent years the war between Dassault, Gulfstream and Bombardier has gradually become more heated with each vying for the longest range business jet on the market.
Bombardier introduced the Global Express aircraft in 1993 though early models came with various teething issues.
The Global Express series are the longest range business jets in the Bombardier stable. With a range of over 6,000 nautical miles and a cruise speed of 490 kts the Bombardier Global Express is capable of intercontinetal flight without the need to refuel. It has the ability to fly in excess of 12 hours from point of departure. With a passenger configuration of up to 14, this is a superb air charter solution for long sectors where cabin comfort is key. Many passenger prefer the Global Express over its Gulfstream counterparts due to the wider cabin dimension of the former.
Recent new variants of the Global Express include the Global XRS with extended range and cruise of around 480 knots.
The Global XRS is capable of flying London to Los Angeles non stop. Over 500 aircraft have been produced in the Global Express series of aircraft.
Used Bombardier Global Express prices start at $17m and continue through to $45m for a new XRS.
