The worlds largest private jet currently in existence, the Boeing 747-800 BBJ Is
almost ready for delivery to one of its first customers, the Amir of Qatar.
The aircraft is manufactured at Boeing’s factory in Everret, Washington which is
currently the largest building in the world. The aircraft is being fitted with its
luxury interior that will undoubtedly include bedrooms, a conference suite, dedicated
dining and cinema facilities.
This brand new variant of the legendary 747 family boasts improved range and fuel
burn over previous models, as well as a stretch in the fuselage and more efficient
GEnx engines, each delivering 66,500lbs of thrust.
The list price of the aircraft, without any interior fittings is around $300,000,000,
and it costs approximately $280,000 to fill her up!! It goes without saying, if
you have to ask, you can’t afford it!
