Dassault Falcon 900
Dassault Falcon 900
The French designed Dassault Falcon 900 aircraft has classic lines and is instantly recognisable with the third centre rear mounted S Duct engine. The S-Duct engine has a high intake on the front of the engine with the exhaust moving through an āSā shape to a lower exhaust on the rear of the aircraft.
With a crew compliment of 2 pilots and 1 or 2 flight attendants the Falcon 900 can accommodate anything between 8 and 19 passengers in high density configuration. Cabin quality is high on all Falcon aircraft though especially so on the newer LX and DX models where modern communication and entertainment technologies are fitted as standard. Dassault offer a wide range of cabin materials which clients can use to achieve the cabin look and feel they desire. This has led to a diverse range of cabin styles across the Falcon brand. The 900 has a stand up cabin and seats that can convert to beds on longer range trips.
Power is provided by 3 Honeywell TFE731-5AR-1C turbofans each producing 4,500 lbs thrust allowing the F900 to cruise at an impressive 513 knots with range just under 4,000 nautical miles. Engines were upgraded on later versions of the Falcon 900 jet as per below:
Falcon 900B: introduced in 1991 and upgraded to the TFE 731-5BR-1C engines producing 4,750 lbs thrust per engine.
Falcon 900EX: Upgraded to TFE31-60 engines producing 5,000lbs thurst each allowing increased range to 4,500 nautical miles.
Falcon 900C: Produced from 2000 with new and improved avionic suite.
Falcon 900LX: Based on the 900EX aircraft though incorporating blended winglets and increased range to 4,750 nautical miles.
