Gulfstream G200

The Gulfstream G200 was originally designed by Israel Aircraft industries and bought by Gulfstream in 1999. This aircraft first flew in 1997 and was certified in 1998. Deliveries commenced in 1999. When Gulfstream acquired Galaxy Aerospace in 1999 the aircraft was renamed the Gulfstream G200.

Powered by Pratt and Whitney PW306 turbofans the G200 has a high cruise speed of 459 knots and range of 3,400 nautical miles. Its service ceiling is 45,000 ft. The G200 has a stand up high quality cabin with configuration for 8-10 passengers in VIP format. Three VIP cabin formats are available: a Double Club Four, a Single Club Four with four conference grouping and divan and finally a Club 2, Club 2 and divan. The aircraft can set up to 18 passengers in corporate shuttle format. The last G200 was produced in December 2011 and up to this point 250 aircraft had been built. The Gulfstream G200 is now superseded by the G280.

Owners and operators particularly like the G200 as it has a low cost of operation compared to other business jets in its class. It is more comparable to a mid size when looking at cost per hour. This is a very capable aircraft for money.

Used examples are on the market from $5.5m.
