Gulfstream are widely considered to be one of the fore founders of the dedicated private jet market, having produced the first purpose built business jet back in 1958. Since this time Gulfstream have produced over 1800 aircraft including the Gulfstream G650.

Gulfstream continue to push the boundaries where long range private jets are concerned. The G650 programme was introduced in 2008 and received type certification in late 2012 following a series of setbacks. This aircraft is one of the first business jets in class to step up to the 7,000 nautical mile range mark allowing non stop flights between London and Buenos Aries, New York and Dubai. Powered by two Rolls Royce BR725 engines the G650 will cruise at Mach 0.85 with max cruise close to the speed of sound at Mach 0.925. Not only does the G650 have excellent range, it also covers the miles quickly.

Cabin comfort within the G650 is superb with a cabin height of 6ft 5 inches and 8 feet 6 inches wide. Passengers are able to interact with all cabin functions via smartphones or tablet devices allowing control of climate, cabin entertainment and even phone calls. The G650 has an airborne office allowing time en route to remain productive for business travellers.

The G650 lists at $65m and so far only 35 aircraft have been produced . One aircraft is currently listed on the used market.
