The Aerospatiale AS350 Single Squirrel was first introduced in 1975 and it is still being produced today.

This single engine helicopter first flew in 1974 and since then has been delivered to both civilian and military clients. The AS350 has achieved many feats in its operational history including a touch down on the summit of Mount Everest and also the highest ever rescue from 8,091 metres from the Annapurna range in Nepal.

Many variants of the AS350 have evolved over its production history including the AS350 B1, B2 and B3 with high perfomance Arriel 2B engine, FADEC increased maximum take off weight to 2,370kgs. Usual passenger configuration consists of four in line passengers in the main cabin with one passenger sitting in the front alongside the pilot. The AS350B3 has a cruise of 132 knots with a maximum speed of 155 knots. Range is 357 nautical miles with a operating service ceiling of 15,000ft.
