Embraer Legacy 600/650
Embraer Legacy 600/650
Based on the EMB 135 regional airliner, the Embraer Legacy 600/650 range was first introduced in 2002. Since this time over 200 aircraft have been produced.
Typical cabin configuration is for 13 passengers in business layout and can carry 8 passengers over a range of 3,450 nautical miles or 13 over 3,000 nautical miles. Cabin dimensions make this one of the smaller jets in class when compared with Falcons and Challengers in the same class.
Powered by two Rolls Royce AE3007/A1P engines producing 8,810lbs thrust each, the Legacy 600 will cruise at around 420 knots in long range cruise up to its maximum cruise at 450 knots. It has a service ceiling of 41,000 ft.
In 2009 Embraer announced the longer range Legacy 650 variant with 3,900 nautical miles of range with four passengers on board, reducing to 3,840 nautical miles with 8 passenger in the cabin.
Whilst the Embraer Legacy would typically be viewed at the lower end of the large cabin jet market, its pricing is hugely competitive with new aircraft listing at $27.5 m. Used Legacy 600 aircraft can be seen in the market from $8m.
