The Cessna Citation II/Bravo were one of the first dedicated business jets to be sold in numbers across the private jet market. This aircraft first flew in 1977 and since that time nearly 1,000 aircraft have been sold. The Citation II was developed from the Citation I. Essentially the II had a larger cabin, higher cruise speeds and longer range due to increased fuel capacity. In 1994 Cessna introduced the Citation Bravo incorporating more efficient Pratt and Whitney PW530A engines, new landing gear and glass cockpit avionics. 337 Cessna Bravo’s were produced between 1996 and 2006 when production ceased.

The Citation SII had a range of almost 2,000 nautical miles, whilst cruising at just over 400 knots. Typical passenger seating configuration in the Citation II is seven to eight seats though some aircraft were configured with up to 10 seats. This aircraft type represents good value for money across flight of unto four hours with four to six passengers. Some aircraft used the padded and belted WC seat to carry additional passengers though comfort is best retained with four to six passengers on board.

Production of the Cessna Citation II/Bravo has now ceased though used aircraft are on the market for a wide cross section of prices beginning at $500k for an early aircraft.
