The Cessna 421 Golden Eagle is twin engine prop driven aircraft that is utilised for short trips with up to six passengers. It has a pressurised cabin and thus has a service ceiling of 30,000ft. Range is 1,500 nautical miles at a cruise of 240 knots. Some Cessna 421 were modified to accommodate a turbine engine.
This aircraft first flew in 1965 with production continuing through to 1985. Many 421’s have a smart VIP leather cabin fit and with efficient cost of operation this aircraft is popular with small companies operating in different cities/countries who regularly fly executives between bases. Many 421’s are still in use as air taxi aircraft proving one of the most resilient air taxi aircraft flying in the skies today.
